Financial data you enter (stored locally)

Transactions, budgets, categories, and notes you add are stored only on your device in an encrypted local database. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly enable cloud backup.

Account information (optional)

You can use the app in guest mode with no account required. If you choose to create an account, we collect:

• Email address
• Display name (if provided via Google or Apple Sign-In)
• Authentication tokens

Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication (Google). We do not store passwords — they are managed securely by Firebase.

Subscription information

If you purchase a Pro subscription, your user ID and subscription status are managed by RevenueCat. We do not store payment card details — all billing is handled by Google Play.

Cloud backup is disabled by default. If you choose to enable it:

• Android: Your data is backed up to your personal Google Drive in a private app-only folder that only MyFinanceDiary can access.
• Backups are JSON exports of your local data stored under your own Google account — we cannot access them.

You can disable backups or delete backup files at any time from your Google Drive or app settings.

• To authenticate your account and sync your Pro subscription across devices
• To restore your data if you reinstall the app (if backup is enabled)
• To send password reset or verification emails (via Firebase)

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app.

The app uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policy:

We do not use analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal or financial data with any third parties. The only data shared externally is what is described above — authentication tokens with Firebase and subscription status with RevenueCat — and only as necessary to operate the app.

Your local financial data remains on your device until you delete the app or use the in-app delete option. If you have an account:

• You can delete your account from Settings → Delete Data in the app.
• This permanently deletes your Firebase account and clears all local data on your device.
• If you enabled cloud backup, delete the backup files from your Google Drive separately.

MyFinanceDiary is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Your local data is stored in an encrypted database on your device. Account credentials are managed by Firebase, which uses industry-standard security practices. We do not have access to your passwords.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
